This person is responsible for devising commercial strategies and tactics to drive market share gains of AV products (namely coronary stents, balloons, and guidewires) across all Southeast Asia geographies, including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, and Myanmar.

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Work with country leadership and global marketing colleagues to devise market-specific strategies and tactics that expand AV’s leadership position. Serve as primary marketing contact for Southeast Asia region within APJ region and globally.
  • Routinely perform analyses of industry, market, and account-specific trends. Present findings in clear, consistent presentations with specific conclusions and proposed actions.
  • Simplify complex product and clinical information into simple messages and storytelling
  • Personally build internal and external relationships in our direct and distributor markets.
  • Adapt or re-create global marketing materials for SEA or country-specific audiences
  • Create and lead KOL development and tracking activities; host advisory board meetings
  • Plan and lead key regional marketing events within the region (conferences, company-sponsored industry events, etc)
  • Provide regional leadership to support execution local marketing activities and tactics.
  • Lead regular product training sessions (product information, clinical data, etc) for AV staff throughout SEA region.
  • Assemble and communicate best practices within the region and globally
  • Assess market for partnership, distribution, or co-promotional relationships. Propose possible deals or opportunities that would drive AV’s leadership position and incremental revenue.
  • Create go-to-market strategies for geographies within the region to support individual product launches
  • Be a go-to internal technical and clinical expert for AV products
  • Provide hands-on, in-hospital training to physicians and AV employees as appropriate

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

No direct reports, but the role has dotted line marketing reports in each Southeast Asia geography (total of three people). Position reports to the GM of Southeast Asia.

Minimum Skills Required
  • Product marketing experience within the medical device / healthcare field
  • Medical device technical experience (training, product certification), preferrably in interventional cardiology or radiology
  • Sales experience
  • Experience working within Southeast Asia markets
  • Experience working with distributors

Knowledge / Education Required
  • College degree with emphasis in marketing / business / communications
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, filters, data analysis
  • Proficiency with Powerpoint presentation making
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of local languages preferred

Experience Required

6-8+ years of commercial experience within medical device / healthcare industry with roles of increasing responsibility. Both sales and marketing experience in medical devices specifically required.
