Country Brand Lead Pain, Internal Medicine

The Country Brand Lead (CBL) will be responsible for preparing the introduction of a new medicine for chronic pain across Sweden and accountable for managing the associated forecasting and investments. The CBL shall ensure that healthcare and patients have the knowledge, information and support they need in order to achieve best possible treatment outcomes. Furthermore, the CBL is responsible for the development/execution/roll-out of the customer strategies and activities across the country developed by the global commercial teams and also the customized tactical initiatives developed in-country.

The person we are looking for:
  • Understands the healthcare environment and adapts strategies/initiatives so that these meet healthcare and patient needs
  • Leads to ensure the seamless integration of the global strategy into country business, acting as partner between country and global teams. Shares country needs and insights with them as a key input to the globally developed strategies and activities. Involved in global work streams and meetings as required.
  • Leads cross-functional teams and activities across functions (medical, sales and access), where collaboration is needed to achieve success.
  • Develops customer focused strategies/initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams based on deep insights, for example by using design thinking or customer journeys.
  • Drives and implements compliant customer facing activities and communication througha variety of ways/channels (including virtual, digital) which are aligned with local healthcare needs and country insights. Identifies relevant opinion leaders, medical societies, and cooperative and study groups and uses this core stakeholder group to form the basis of local strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Drives cross functional plan to shape change and direction of national healthcare policy and develops initiatives to positively influence the environment for better patient treatment outcomes.
  • Ensures product is available for patients and healthcare through the national reimbursement / tender.
  • Is accountable for the development and execution of the brand’s operational plan, including the delivery of a robust country forecast, which is based on clearly defined assumptions regarding patient flows, customer insights, competitive environment, pricing strategies etc. Accountable for the planning, spending and controlling local budget as agreed for areas of responsibility. Demonstrate compliant use of financial systems and processes. Liaises with demand team to manage supply forecast and issues as needed so our medicines will be available for patient and healthcare when they need them.

What We Expect
  • University degree such as marketing or business with experience of science or medicine or science or medical degree with experience of business. Experience in design thinking, customer journey mapping and digital communication and solutions is valuable.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
  • Curious mindset and with the ability to understand healthcare needs and develop solutions that meet the needs of patient and customer. Strong communicator of our value proposition and the messaging todrive brand revenues
  • High degree of emotional skills, such as empathy and inclusion, resulting in good leadership, teamwork and relationship management, i.e. being comfortable in leading others and in working in a matrix multi-cultural organization
  • Strong communication skills including communicating in different types of digital channels , writing, research, strategy
  • Complex problemsolving skills, imagination and creative skills combined with critical thinking and evidence-based thinking.
  • Positive “Can do attitude” with self motivation, energy and drive, combined with the ability to include others and “do it together” explore new ways in the face of stability as well as in the face of a volatile uncertain and complex situation. Ability to deal with ambiguity in the face of decision making. Agile, reimagining how things are done, exploring… Develop and champion new ideas and question the status quo.
