As our newest Communication and Patient Advocacy Lead you’ll build and manage mutually beneficial relationships with patient organizations, caregiver organizations and related stakeholders, to develop patient/caregiver-inclusion activities that help Novartis to get the right drug to the right patient at the right time.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate and cooperate with internal stakeholders to identify projects where the patient perspective is required, and support its execution (i.e. Patient Reporting Outcomes projects with Development or Patient Access).
  • Develop and execute initiatives with patient organizations and patient opinion leaders that are strategic, bring mutual benefit and are aligned to business objectives, supporting Novartis reputation.
  • Develop strategy and content aligned to product/franchise objectives, with consideration of optimising traditional, social and digital media channels.
  • Act as a catalyst to innovate new ideas and programs and a thought leader for Communications within Novartis Pharma, sharing expertise and educating colleagues about the value of Communications in the promotional mix.
  • Manage PR agencies and budgets to ensure effective working relationships between the marketing teams and the agencies, development and implementation of best practice communications strategies and adherence to purchasing policy on budgets.


Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • University degree or equivalent in Communications
  • Ability to maintain relationships with a high number of key external customers, including patient groups representatives, media and medical experts
  • Competence in budget management
  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and technical topics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
